Summer vacation

We have had a fun summer so far. Unfortunately, I usually forget to take pictures, but I did manage to snap a few.

The Mills came to visit Memorial Day Weekend and we had a blast. By the end, Camille had warmed up enough to actually let Lynsie hold her, but only for a piece of licorice (she is quite the mama's and dada's girl).

We went with them on Memorial Day on their way home and stopped at Craters of the Moon. I forgot to take pictures, but since it's so close, we'll probably go back someday. We stopped at the Arco(actually Lost River) cemetery to see Jess's grandpa and grandma Noble's graves. This picture is Camille after eating a chocolate pudding on the way home.

The Mills came back less than 2 weeks later and the guys took off to Island Park to go fishing. The girls stayed with the kids and took them to an inside arcade and playland since it was cold and rainy all weekend!! We got news that weekend that Jeese's uncle John passed away after a 5 year fight with ALS. So, we made plans the next weekend to go through Yellowstone Park on our way to the funeral in Cody.

We bought all the kids Yellowstone hats and told them that whoever left their shoes on all day would get a special treat. I think that was the first time they have all worn their shoes all day without taking them off!!

Cordell is practicing to be a ninja!!

Here is a few scenic pictures.

Cordell wanted to try carrying Camille in the backpack

A guy volunteered to take our picture so I could get in on one!

Old Faithful

We saw 7 bears, but I only got pictures of 4 of them. We saw this black bear right on the side of the road, so I got a few good pictures.

This grizzly bear was quite a ways away, so this is the best picture I got of her. It is rumored that she had 4 cubs, which has only happened 2 other times in Yellowstone. We only saw 3 cubs, but only got a picture of 2. They are the 2 brown spots you can see a little to the right of her. You might have to take my word on this one!!

Here is a picture of some of Jess's family at his uncle John's funeral. Jess has some good memories of his Uncle John and hunting!!

His Grandpa Barrus and Uncle Chip are both buried pretty close to where Uncle John was buried, so while we were there, I snapped pictures of them

We visited 5 or 6 cemeteries in about 2 weeks! Besides Jess's grandpa and grandma in Arco and the one in Cody with his grandpa and 2 uncles, we visited the Fielding cemetery where my mom and Grandpa Godfrey are buried and the Tremonton cemetery where my grandpa Fuhriman is buried. We found out that Jess's great grandpa Jesse Moses was buried in a cemetery by Blackfoot, so we did some research and found out he was buried about 5 miles from our house. This is Jess's mom's grandpa that she named Jesse after. He was also the grandson of Wilford Woodruff. We were telling this to my grandma Fuhriman, and she said her great grandpa was baptized by Wilford Woodruff in Engalnd and then came to join the saints. I turned to Jess and said, "good thing your 3rd great grandpa baptized my 3rd great grandpa so we could get married!!"

The weekend after we got back from the funeral, we headed to Tremonton for a family reunion and to go to Lagoon. We promised our kids that if they did lots of service this year, we would take them to Lagoon with Grandpa Fuhriman and his work party. We had a blast, but I forgot to take my camera!! The next weekend was the 4th of July and our niece Anna got baptized. It was fun for Cordell to see his cousin get baptized a month before he is going to. We went to the fireworks in IF which were awesome, but I forgot to bring my camera again!! The next weekend we headed to Tremonton again for a family reunion. We got to see quite a bit of family between the 2 reunions. Then the next weekend we headed to Boise to finish up some stuff there and visit some friends!! That pretty much brings us up to date. We have had something every weekend this summer, it has been busy but fun. Besides being gone all the time, the kids have enjoyed doing the summer reading program at the library and doing swim team!!

It sounds like you have been busy and having a blast. I sure miss you guys. I got Cordell's baptism announcement. I am just in shock that he is that old now. We will get something sent off to him so he knows we remembered him.
